CDAD has been the leading advocate for Detroit’s community development sector for over 20 years, representing more than 100 members. They work to advance nonprofit organizations and resident-led groups involved in various activities to stabilize life in Detroit neighborhoods. The Youth Engagement Partners aim to promote youth-driven community development by fostering collaboration, connecting youth leaders from different neighborhoods, and cultivating youth leadership and civic engagement. Comprised of three committees, they focus on citywide collaboration, youth agency cooperation, and a youth advisory council. The CDAD Youth Advisory Council empowers youth to identify community needs, develop leadership skills, and advocate for equitable and inclusive development in their communities.
